# Installation and Configuration

### **Pre-installation Checklist**

* **Verify the manual version** corresponds to both the hardware and firmware of the unit.\
  To check the manual version, please refer to the version page.
* **Ensure the installation environment meets the measurement requirements.**\
  A sufficient length of **straight pipe** must be present both upstream and downstream of the flow meter to stabilise the flow profile.\
  The optimal installation position is **on the side of a horizontal pipe** or in a **vertical pipe with upward flow** (from bottom to top).
* **Confirm the pipe material** is suitable in terms of **temperature resistance, chemical compatibility, and correct dimensions**.
* The **chemical composition and operating temperature** of the fluid can vary significantly across industries.\
  Please **review the chemical properties of the fluid carefully prior to purchasing** the flow meter, to avoid potential damage.
* This flow meter operates using **magnetic sensing technology**.\
  **The presence of magnetic particles in the fluid may interfere with its operation**, and such fluids should be avoided.\
  The unit should also be installed **away from sources of strong electromagnetic fields**, such as motors and solenoid valves.
