A03 Pipe Geo Unit

Definition

This function sets the unit for the flow meter’s tube size. The default unit is mm.

Notes

  1. After executing this function, the setting for B06 (Tube Size Unit) will be automatically updated.

  2. Each time the pipeline size is changed, perform Z03 Auto Initialize and Z04 Auto Zero Offset to ensure accurate flow readings and maintain stable product quality.

The main unit has four buttons. The bottom line (Line 3) of the LCD displays the current function of each button. Under normal operation, the button functions are as follows:

  • Blue Button - Leftmost button: Return, exit, or save settings.

Gray Arrow Buttons:

  • Left Gray Button: Page up, increase value, or select item

  • Right Gray Button: Page down, decrease value, or select item

  • Orange Button: Rightmost button: Enter settings, edit, or confirm selection

A03 Pipe Geo Unit Setting Steps
• From the main screen (green backlight), 
press Orange Button (Setup) to enter settings (orange backlight).
• Use Gray Arrow Buttons to select A. Measurement , press Orange Button (Enter).
• Use Gray Arrow Buttons to select A03 Pipe Geo Unit, press Orange Button (Enter).
• Use Gray Arrow Buttons to choose the options. 
• Press Orange Button (Set) to confirm.
• Press Blue Button (ESC) to return to the main screen (green backlight).

Refer to the Read/Write Memory List for the Modbus command format. This parameter uses the Int16 data format.

Pipe Size Reference Table (Outer Diameter / Inner Diameter / Wall Thickness / Circumference)

The allowable input ranges for parameters A04 to A07 vary depending on the unit setting of A03 and the device model. If values for A04 to A07 are entered first and the unit setting of A03 is changed afterward, the system will automatically perform unit conversion.

For example, if A04 (pipe outer diameter) is entered as 1.0 in inch mode and A03 is later switched to mm, the displayed value of A04 will be automatically converted to 25.4.

  1. Since the inner diameter is calculated from the outer diameter and wall thickness (ID = OD − 2 × thickness), all four parameters are interdependent. If an entered value causes any parameter to exceed its allowable range, the system will not permit the value to be saved.

  2. All system values are calculated using float32 precision. As a result, displayed or calculated values may include non-integer numbers.

  3. Millimeters (mm) are used as the base unit, while inches are provided as converted values (conversion reference: 1 inch = 25.4 mm).

  4. If a value exceeds four decimal places, it will be truncated to four decimal places without rounding.
