# A01 Auto Pipe Spec
This function automatically detects the pipe specification of the pipeline. It performs the same operation as Z02.

Based on patented sensing technology, it measures the pipe dimensions and automatically identifies the closest matching pipe specification. If the pipe dimensions are not found in the database or have been deformed, the default pipe specification (**CNS PVCU**) will be applied as the configured value. Refer to [A02](https://docs.lorric.com/qr/fu-es-echosense-instruction-manual/parameters/a-measurement-setup/..#a02-preset-pipe-spec-pipe-specification).
### Notes
* Re-execute this function whenever the device is **reinstalled** or the **pipe size or material is changed**.
* The system compares the **sensor’s compression under different pipe specifications** with **preset pipe data in the database** to determine the pipe size.
* Due to **tolerances or other factors**, the pipe size matching result may be incorrect.
* If the pipe size is matched incorrectly, it may cause **inaccurate results**. Be sure to **manually adjust to the correct pipe size** by setting **A02, A04, A06, and A08**.

When the main screen is displayed in **green backlight**, the four buttons function as follows:
* **Blue Button (leftmost):** Return, exit, or save settings.
* Gray Direction Buttons:
* **Left Gray:** Previous Page, decrease value, or select item
* **Right Gray:** Next Page, increase value, or select item
* **Orange Button (rightmost):** Rightmost button: Enter settings, edit, or confirm selection

• From the main screen (green backlight),
press Orange Button (Setup) to enter settings (orange backlight).
• Use Gray Arrow Buttons to select A. Measure, press Orange Button (Enter).
• Use Gray Arrow Buttons to select A01 Auto Pipe Spec, press Orange Button (Enter).
• Press Right Gray Button to start Auto Pipe Spec.
• Press Blue Button (ESC) to return to the main screen (green backlight).
