# Warranty

{% hint style="danger" %}
For systems containing high levels of impurities or crystallising fluids (e.g. copper sulphate), clean-in-place (CIP) procedures must be carried out prior to use to prevent paddlewheel damage.Damage caused under such conditions is not covered under warranty.

The paddlewheel axle is made from ceramic material, offering high durability for long-term use, but it is brittle and not impact-resistant. It may fracture if subjected to sudden mechanical force. Incidents such as dropping during installation or removal, rapid pressure fluctuations (e.g. from pump or valve switching), water hammer, or impact from foreign objects in the fluid are not covered by warranty.\
\
It is recommended that system start-up/shutdown and valve operations be controlled using **soft-start programming**, allowing gradual changes to reach the target state.\
For example, start the pump via inverter control at 35 Hz and increase the frequency only after the system stabilises.

**Measuring range and service life:**

The flow meter supports an operating flow velocity range of **0.3 m/s to 10 m/s**. However, extended use at high velocities can shorten paddlewheel lifespan. It is **advised to select appropriate pipe diameter** to ensure that long-term operating flow remains **below 5 m/s**.

#### Unless otherwise agreed, the standard warranty conditions are as follows:

* Upon receipt, the product should be inspected within **14 days**.\
If damage is found due to shipping, please contact your sales representative for a replacement.
* The product is covered by a **12-month warranty from the date of shipment**, against malfunctions not caused by misuse or environmental factors.\
Within this period, **inspection, parts replacement, and repairs are provided free of charge**.
* The paddlewheel assembly is classified as a **consumable part**, and its lifespan will vary depending on the usage environment.\
**Wear due to usage is not covered under warranty**.

When returning a product for repair, ensure **proper packaging** to avoid transport-related damage and additional losses.

This warranty is **valid only for standard applications**. Special, excessive, or improper usage is **excluded from warranty coverage**.

#### **Exclusions from Warranty Coverage**

Warranty is void and repair costs will be charged under the following conditions:

* Force majeure: natural disasters including flooding, fire, earthquakes, lightning strikes, typhoons, etc.
* Human error or physical damage: scratches, drops, broken clips, impacts, cracks, or heavy blows.
* Improper handling: incorrect voltage, high humidity, water ingress, contamination, corrosion, loss, or poor storage.
* Any damage arising from **abnormal or unintended usage**.
* Damage caused by **unauthorised installation, modifications, or use of non-approved parts** by the customer or a third party.

#### **Important Note**

This product **must not be used in pressurised gas applications**.
